Hi,
My name is Doyle Murphy. It's exciting to be a 5th grade teacher at Fox Hollow. Yahoo! I'm looking forward to a great school year.
Here is a litte information about myself: I've taught elementary students in grades 3-6 for the last 25 years. Nine of those years with 5th grade students. I love and value each of my students and look forward to seeing them progress. I want each of them to learn to be productive, contributing citizens with effective habits of success.
Some of my personal interests are gardening, scouting, zoology, space, science, counseling, and financial planning. For fun, I enjoy drama, music, chocolate, checkers, watching aquarium fish, BBQ cooking on the grill, and relaxing in the peaceful outdoors.
Please feel free to stop by the classroom to say "hi." I'd love to meet you!

Meet Caci Jensen
Hi, my name is Caci Jensen. I am very excited to begin teaching at Fox Hollow Elementary in the fifth grade. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in 2011 from Utah State University specializing in kindergarten through sixth grade. My degree emphasis was in math and science, and this is one of my favorite things to teach my students. I taught third grade for one year in Wellington, Utah, and I’m excited to continue my teaching career in the fifth grade! My husband and I just moved to Murray, Utah in order for him to attend the U of U while I teach at Fox Hollow Elementary.
My husband and I were just married on April 5th! One thing we love to do is spend time outside. We love to hike, run, play sports, and occasionally, go on a nice picnic. We also love to travel, and will be spending much of our summer visiting various places throughout the states. We are both excited to get to know the fifth grade students this year.
I have spent a little bit of time with the fifth grade teachers, and I am so excited for this new team! They are dynamic and intelligent. These teachers work together assisting each other with various ideas and strategies. This is a great school, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.

Meet Tammy Barber
Hello my name is Tammy
Barber. I am looking forward to teaching another year at Fox Hollow Elementary.
This is my seventh year to teach in the public school system.
I grew up in Oklahoma, but lived in Florida for twenty-two
years. My family and I moved to West Jordan last summer because my husband accepted
a job in Salt Lake City. Besides missing our Florida family and friends, we are
growing to love this area.
I am
the proud mother of four wonderful children, Caley, 18, Hyrum, 15, Chloe, 12,
and Holland, 9. I loved staying home
with them while they were young, but have so enjoyed coming back into the
classroom.
My
favorite things to do include: reading, traveling, watching sports with my
kids, and just enjoying life. We have snuck back to Florida twice already, but
have also discovered the beauty of Utah.
I
have found my niche in the upper elementary classroom. I absolutely adore the age group and appreciate
the curriculum. Teaching is a challenge that brings me such delight. Teaching
in Fox Hollow fifth grade, there’s no place I’d rather be!
Meet Lindsey Pettibone
My name is
Lindsey Pettibone and this is going to be my 9th year of
teaching. I graduated from Brigham Young
University in 2004 in Elementary Education.
I student taught in the 5th grade and have been teaching 4th
grade for the past 8 years. I am very
excited to be returning to the 5th grade!
I grew up
in the beautiful state of Oregon and love outside and nature. I come from a family with three older
brothers and I am blessed with many cute and adorable nieces and nephews.
I enjoy
running and last year ran my first marathon.
I also enjoy almost any craft and reading a good book. This will be my first year at Fox Hollow and
I am excited for all the new adventures to begin!

Meet DeAnn Moore
My name is De Ann Moore and this year marks my fifth year of
teaching.
I have been busy gaining professional development to benefit my
students. I am in my second year of a Social Studies Grant with the
Jordan School District (JHAT). As part of the grant, my class will take
pre- and post- American History tests (At the beginning and end of the school
year). Students will learn how to write Document Based Questions (DBQs)
using primary source documents. As part of the grant, I was able to visit
Boston this summer. I have new insights to American History that will
positively enhance my teaching this up coming year.
I will finish up my Masters of Education in reading at the end
of October. I am excited to use the reading strategies I have been
studying for the last year and a half.
In December I will complete my ESL endorsement. I have
learned a great deal about English Language Learners and how I can be a better
teacher for all students.
School is a huge part of my life, but not as huge as being a
mother to my four children. I have three boys and a little girl. My
oldest is thirteen and my youngest is four. My husband and I enjoy the
complete chaos of raising three boys and a girl that can hold her own against
her brothers. Two of my boys attend Fox Hollow.
